Alpaca Proof Services and Policies

My goal is to ensure accuracy and overall consistency in accordance with your preferences.

I offer proofreading services for court reporters and authors. My goal is to ensure accuracy and overall consistency in accordance with your preferences. I welcome feedback and take my role as your teammate seriously. Our goal is the same: to produce the best final product that we can so that you are recognized for all of the right reasons. Whether you need me regularly, occasionally, or just once, I am eager to proofread your material and impress you with my eye for detail.
Communication is key. Your time is valuable, and you need to know that you can rely on me. I will acknowledge your email as soon as I can and let you know whether or not I am able to meet your timeline.
Policies and Expectations for Transcript Proofreading
Once I confirm my availability, please provide your transcript in PDF format. If you need help converting your file to PDF, a free tool is available online at http://www.cutepdf.com/
I will mark up your PDF with red notations and yellow highlights and return only the annotated pages to you. A sample of an annotated PDF page appears below. If I am proofing to audio, I will return all pages, unless you specifically request otherwise.
Large Jobs (over 150 pages) may require extra time. If at all possible, please let me know what to expect and provide the work in sections of 50 pages as they become available, not all at once. This is especially critical if you need a faster turnaround time.
I will focus on correct grammar, word use, formatting, readability, and your preferences. Please click here to communicate your preferences to me. You will be able to add comments and further specifications at the end of the form, which should only take a few minutes to complete.
I bill on the first and fifteenth day of the month and request payment in full within 14 days.
